Appellant and respondent were married in February, 1921, and separated for the last time about June 1, 1943. On the 27th day of September, 1944, plaintiff was granted an interlocutory decree of divorce from defendant upon the ground of his extreme cruelty. The action was tried upon the amended complaint of appellant, a cross-complaint filed by respondent, and an answer thereto.
